POKOTABI / PLACES WORTH A DETOUR
讃岐うどんとしゃぶしゃぶ 粂屋
Kumeya serves tempura udon, cold udon and hot-pot dishes. The menu also includes lunchtime sukiyaki udon with domestic beef, as well as yuba and tofu dishes.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
At Kumeya, you can enjoy udon as a meal in its own right or save it for the end of a hot pot. Reviews mention the noodles’ chewy texture and the combination of cold udon with tempura. The tempura udon set comes with shrimp, aubergine and pumpkin tempura, plus a seafood rice bowl; the udon can also be changed to cold bukkake udon. At lunchtime, there is also sukiyaki udon with domestic beef. The à la carte dish costs ¥2,728, while the set costs ¥3,058; the menu lists both as available only from 11:00 to 17:00.
For dinner, options include shabu-shabu and sukiyaki. The all-you-can-eat course featuring domestic beef and pork is listed as a 90-minute course for groups of 2 or more. Domestic beef hot pot, by contrast, is not all-you-can-eat: diners can choose 5 types of broth and select 2 flavours. Diners have commented on being able to choose two broths and on enjoying the udon at the end of the meal. From a lunchtime bowl of udon to a leisurely hot-pot dinner, the menu offers different ways to dine.
The yuba rice bowl set comes with salad, udon and warabi mochi. The menu also features udon with chopped seasoned fried tofu, plum and wakame, or vegetable kakiage tempura, among other options—choices to consider for a meal without meat.
